Alice Griffin has reviewed plays for publications from Variety to
The Shakespeare Quarterly, and for New York stations WNYC,
WNEW, and WBAI. She holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University,
served as associate editor and drama critic for Theatre Arts
Magazine, and taught modern drama at the City University of New York.
Her ten books on theater include Living Theater, Understanding
Tennessee Williams, Understanding Arthur Miller, and Understanding
Lillian Hellman. Her latest of four books on Shakespeare is
Shakespeare's Women in Love.
